The Eller Beck Reviews

A great location for such a unique stay. A lovely apartment with so much space for us all 4 adults 3 kids. Amazing that parking is so close by as well and included. Everything you need in the kitchen we ate in every breakfast and tea and everything worked great, plenty of utensils etc. Beds are super comfy and all the showers nice and hot and powerful. Loads of space for coats and boots. Great location for food and drinks and being able to pick up great produce from the marketbakersbutchers no need to go the supermarket at all. One thing to note the waterwheel does still work so we thought we were in an earthquake when it started up not a deal breaker I just think its a good to know.

6 of us adults plus dog spent an amazing time in this quirkily stunning property. Andrew, the owner, is a top guy, meeting us on arrival and always available to sort any queries or problems. The location and facilities are simply superb and we had no problem whatsoever with any noise from either above or below us, as some reviews have indicated. Do ensure that you provide your car registration numbers, yo avoid any unnecessary parking fines! All in all a fab week, with a super owner! We wouldn't hesitate to stay again !
The Ellerbeck is a fabulous property and a great place to have a holiday with friends . The living area is spacious and a fully equipped kitchen makes it ideal if wanting to dine in. The juke box was an added bonus and had all our favourite tunes to listen and dance too. With four bedrooms and bathrooms there was plenty of room for us all. Location is excellent, with only being a short walk from the castle, town centre which has lots of shops, restaurants and pubs. There are lots of walks from the door, including Skipton woods and along the canals watching all the long boats pass by. Andrew the owner was very helpful and on hand if you needed to know anything. I would thoroughly recommend the Ellerbeck for anyone looking for a larger property when planning a trip to Skipton.
What can I say The Eller Beck is superb! The photos on the listing honestly dont do it justice. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed and comfortable. The whole place has a lovely welcoming feel, and its beautifully finished throughout. The jukebox was a massive hit with our group such a fun touch and great to hear some proper oldies playing while we enjoyed our stay. We had such a great time and will definitely be back. Highly recommended well be telling all our friends about The Eller Beck!

The apartment was amazing , all my family were thrilled with the accommodation I had chosen. We were a mixture of grandparent, children and grandchildren and it suited everyone's needs.

The Eller Beck is in a perfect location and the mill has been restored brilliantly and seeing the old pictures of progress in the hall were great to appreciate it all. My only criticism is that for anyone wanting peace and quiet the noises from the event space above and the gym were really noticeable. I appreciate there is a note that to expect occasional noise but it was very noisy hearing tables and chairs being moved a lot. Holiday makers pay a lot of money to stay here and I think it should be either looked at to reduce noise or make it clearer as it was pretty much every day sadly making a sit down to read or natter to friends impossible.
A amazing historical building with many of the original workings of the mill still intact. The owner who restored and converted the building should be commended for how it has been done. Its a great place to stay offering well designed high quality accommodation in a central location. It offers easy access to the dales and all the transport links plus a central location in Skipton for all that the town has to offer. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to wanting a holiday in that area.
Great location Great price Well maintained and clean accommodation Definitely will came back again
We had a fantastic stay at Eller Beck and absolutely loved the property finished to a high standard with so many thoughtful touches. Great location with everything nearby. A great place to get together with extended family. Well definitely be back!
We all had a great time for my 70th birthday at the Eller Beck, there were 9 of us in total, 6 adults and 3 children, one of them was 3 years old, so much space for everyone, the little one absolutely loved it and didn't want to go home. The property is beautiful, so tastefully furnished, and the water mill history and machinery on display is fascinating, the juke box in the lounge was a real winner with young and old, we all loved it, some great music on there. The location is perfect, just a couple of minutes walk from the castle and Market place, loads of great pubs and restaurants on your doorstep, parking is perfect, just had to book one extra car in, which was very easy. The owner Andrew was such a nice guy, very helpful and friendly. If I had a small criticism it would be that the gym next door does start very early, but we were invariably up and about by then anyway. We would most certainly recommend to family and friends.
God position in the town. a great place for groups it is unusual to see such an up market facility for 9 people.
A unique historical property. Well equipped and a great location.

Sandra
What a find, It is tempting not to share how lovely this property is, and how very convenient the location is, because then there will be no availability for us to return. It is an amazing property, suitable for all ages, clearly renovated with loving care and attention.
Robert
Our family love The Eller Beck the location near Skipton Woods, the pen plan accommodation with the lounge having plenty of seating for a large group, the ease of walking into the town especially for the younger members. The number of shower rooms, one with a bath, suited the family needs. The entrance hall is large for putting walking shoes etc.to prevent trips and falls. Highly recommend.
A lovely holiday and accommodation was fantastic. Only one grievance was the fact that on our second night the Mills Waterwheel was left turned on all night, meaning a sleepless night for all 4 of us, due to the noise! As the gate to the Wheels handle had been locked we just had to endure the problem until the shop unlocked it on the Monday morning.
Valerie
Lovely and clean large apartment in a great and very close location to the local amenities. Lots of shops, pubs, cafes etc within easy walking distance of the apartment. Jukebox was a great feature! Would recommend some electric cooling fans to be provided as the apartment did get very hot at times especially in the livingkitchen room and couldnt seem to get any thru draughts even when all windows and doors were open but the weather was hot as well. Also other problem we came across were at times getting parked! Even though had designated parking spot we found that we couldnt park there most times as it seems as though it was a bit of free for all and first come first served basis which was annoying at times. Overall a lovely apartment with all amenities provided for a lovely stay in a great central location. Skipton itself is a lovely place to visitstay and we had a lovely holiday. Would recommend The Eller Beck and will definitely return.
A wonderful gem in the heart of Skipton. Spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need for the perfect break away. A true home away from home. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful few days. The facilities at Eller Beck meant that we could all be together as a family in luxurious comfort. We had friendly communication from the owner. Everyone was fascinated by the water wheel and the building and the position was so convenient
We really enjoyed our stay at Eller Beck. It was a beautifully decorated and well equipped holiday apartment. Its location in Skipton made getting to local shops and eateries super simple. We walked to the train station one day for a day trip to Leeds, it only took about 1015 minutes. The use of the electric car charger was really important to us as we came in our Tesla and had plans to explore the Dales during our visit. If youre not a fan of running water noises while you sleep, this is not the apartment for you as it is an old mill building.
Louise
Lovely apartment in lovely location
Victoria
Really lovely accommodation, plenty of space and bathrooms and beautifully decorated. The central location is great and the historical features of the building interesting. Would definitely recommend for a larger group.
Justine
This was a fantastic unique property to stay in. All the rooms were immaculate and finished to a very high standard and all set within a prime central location close to lovely restaurants and pubs. Communication with the owner was great and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend.
We had a lovely time here, the accommodation was perfect, beautiful place, comfortable beds, lovely showers, well equipped with everything you could need, closest pub the Curious Fox literally a minute away served lovely food with friendly staff. Skipton is a lovely town, lots of bars, restaurants, shops and a market, not to mention the beautiful walk to the castle, thoroughly enjoyed this place, 5 stars
